The Largest 3 on 3 Street Basketball tournament “Hoopfest” held here in Spokane, WA happens this weekend. Starts the last Saturday of June each year. This event seems to grow year after year. As stated on the “Spokane Hoopfest” Facebook page (info tab)… “6,990 Teams, 27,465 Players, 14,000 Games, 200,000 Fans, 447 Courts, 40 City Blocks, 3,000 Volunteers, June 25 & 26, 2011”.
Lots of people and fun to be had for the basketball enthusiast and the not so much of the basketball type… The weekend will be chock full of festival type concerts, shopping, food and interactive entertainment. Plenty of exciting things happening to entertain everyone in the family… Spokane’s Riverfront Park will have the regular everyday activities along with all the extras for the weekend FUN!!!
