The start of a new year – give’s many of us inspiration to rid ourselves of all the bad habits we have accumulated and do better for ourselves and others. The annual time to reflect on changes we want (or need) to make, and resolve to follow through on these changes.

Do you have something different your putting out there for your New Years resolution? Since I’m in the insurance industry the one thing that came to mind for a resolution was: Spend Money Wisely. I think this thought fits under #3 Spend Less, Save More category (from 2011 Resolutions). I especially like the advice given… “Before you buy something, always spend some time justifying the reason. You should spend the same amount of time it took you to earn that money on reasoning before you buy.” This is absolutely fabulous advice. If we would practice this with most of our decision making, I think we may have a rise in better decisions made.
Another resolution I think of falls under family and responsibility. Of course I’m talking about Life Insurance. What better time to put this on your list when it’s a new year. Taking care of your loved ones when you are no longer here to do it. There are not too many other possessions you can purchase that will show your love and will be appreciated at a time when it is most needed -than at a time like this.
