Lilac Bloomsday Run (aka: Bloomsday) – held on the first Sunday of every May since 1977. One of the largest foot races in the world with over 40,000 participants each year… that number peaked to over 61,000 in 1996. (more…)
Today in in our Great City of Spokane, WA. It looks as though Legendary hacker group Anonymous is either making a visit or are living among us.
The steel sculpture of runners in Riverfront Park are sporting the Anonymous mask. This sculpture is directly in front of Spokane City Hall. So is this a statement for our great leaders in City Hall or is it a completely different statement altogether? I suppose if I put forth a little more effort in researching this I may come up with some more realistic answers. For now it looks as though we may have been tagged Spokane.

The Lilac Bloomsday Run is a 12 kilometer / 7.46 mile foot run held in Spokane, WA. This year marks the 35th annual Lilac Bloomsday Run, held on the first Sunday in May. Making the date this year May 1st, 2011. As the largest foot race in the world this is pretty big stuff for Spokane, WA. I know most people don’t have a clue about Spokane since we are over shadowed by the better known city, Seattle, in the State of Washington. But if you are an athlete… who likes long distance running and Iron Man Triathlons than you know us well. Since a mere 30 miles east of Spokane in Coeur d’Alene, ID the Ford Iron Man Coeur d’Alene Triathlon is held. Next one scheduled for June 26, 2011. (more…)
