A very sad and unfortunate fact: The benefits of life insurance are often recognized after disaster strikes. Why?… You are an insurance consumer. You have car insurance, home mortgage insurance, renters insurance, maybe motorcycle and boat insurance. Why the aversion for life insurance?

You may consider yourself a responsible person… and life insurance is a very important ingredient to being that responsible person. When you die, you pass along a financial burden to those you love. Whether you care or not it is a burden to someone.

Considering many funerals cost well over $10,000 and I’m assuming the average American family would feel $10,000 is a significant amount of money. Why do you still have an aversion to purchasing life insurance? (federal trade commission funeral consumer guide)

If you were to die today, do you have enough money set aside for your loved ones to pay for funeral expenses, possible doctor bills, daily living expenses, mortgage payments etc.? The article: Insurance makes economic recovery possible for Chile posted on the insure.com website. Tells how Chile’s rebound from the devastating earth quake earlier this year would be much faster and easier when compared to Haiti’s earthquake recovery. Keeping insurance at the top of your priority list will help the sting of disaster and devastation.

Truly there is no amount of money to make up for the loss of life, but life insurance certainly makes it possible for survivors to rebuild their lives! Stop the procrastination and talk to someone about your life insurance needs before it’s too late.
